  • How do you care for your plam?  
    Palm trees generally grow in full sun, but can tolerate some shade. Water newly planted trees deeply twice a week until they are established (2 to 3 months). Palm trees are drought tolerant once they are established and rarely need watering.
  • A very hardy palm that is suitable to the varying conditions of Melbourne, the Chinese Fan Palm is a highly suitable palm, both in the garden and indoors.
  • Outdoors it's a hardy plant that with a minimum of maintenance will thrive in most soil types. It is a very drought hardy palm, but will benefit from feeding in spring and regular watering in the warmer months. Requiring minimal maintenance other than pruning it complements any tropical garden or pool/al fresco area.
